In 1993, Cidex made its first rustic candles in rented premises in Farum, Denmark. Things developed quickly, and the premises proved too small for the growing production. Cidex moved to new and larger premises in Måløv in 1996, expanding production to include stearin candles and pillar candles. The first robot was brought into production in 2008, and since then technological development has only accelerated. In 2010, Cidex purchased its own premises with larger production and storage capacity at the current address in Smørum, and at the same time invested in additional robots for production.
